Triomph du Luxembourg

A strong Tea Rose bearing very double, salmon-pink flowers that change to buff pink with age. It was one of the more celebrated roses of its time and was very expensive, retailing at 35 francs in 1836. It’s full name would have been ‘Triumphe of the Luxembourg Gardens’, which are in Paris and where Alexander Hardy was the chief horticulturist.
