Pompon de Paris, Climbing (OGR)
Believed to be the same as ‘Rouletii, Climbing’, a sport of ‘ Pompon de Paris’ or ‘Rouletii’, the original Miniature Rose rediscovered by Major Roulet in Switzerland in 1918. It is a tiny and thorny almost-evergreen bushy climber. This rose bears clusters of fully double, upright pink flowers making perfect rosettes, from light red buds, fading to a paler tone in strong sunshine. The blooms come early, and there is not usually any significant later bloom. The tiny leaves are medium green and very numerous. It was popular in Victorian times when it was grown in containers.
