Mme. Alfred Carriere

Known for her reliable health, this rampant climber produces a continuous display of
pale, pinkish-white blooms over a long period. There is yellow at the base below the curly central petals. The large, full globular blooms have Tea-like fragrance. The light, pale green foliage has well-serrated edges, and the flexible canes make it easy to train on a fence, wall, or pergola. It doesn’t mind shade and can be propagated easily from cuttings. This popular rose was a creation of Joseph Schwartz, whose widow carried on his work producng many famous roses. In 1908 it was proclaimed ‘the best white climber’ with 62 out of 83 votes of the National Rose Society in England.
