Harison’s Yellow

This is the rose that was carried from New York south and made it’s way west with the pioneers being planted and shared along the way. It is thought to be the "Yellow Rose of Texas" Although it only blooms once for a short time, this extremely thorny rambler is worth waiting for as it is a harbinger of spring and the yellow color is delightful and charming. I received my original plant in a pot as a gift from Miriam Wilkin’s garden the day after she passed. It will always have a special meaning for me.
