Chrysler Imperial

A compact, vigorous grower with dark green semi-glossy leaves, this rose bears long, pointed buds which develop into large, double well-formed flowers with 45 velvety, rich crimson petals that turn bluish as they age. The blooms have a good fragrance. It can also suffer from mildew in cold weather. The rose was very popular when it was first introduced and has won many awards. There was some dispute raised by the car company over the name, as it was originally intended to be named ‘Chrysler’.
