The sport of the famous ‘Peace’ bears phlox pink, lightly perfumed, well-formed flowers that have a base of canary yellow. There is a good display in summer, with a reliable repeat performance in autumn. The growth is identical in many ways to the original parent cultivar, although the blooms are more intense. Like its parent, it needs protection from black spot. This is one of several mutations of ‘Peace’ which all appeared at about the same time. This particular form was discovered by a breeder in Chicago, hence the name.
