Chestnut Rose (R. roxburghii)

Double form of the Species rose that is a very easy to grow, no disease, with large purple pink flowers of unusual form. The foliage is fern-like and is useful in arrangements. A spring bloomer with sporadic repeat flushes, it is a very large carefree bush with good form that is worth growing. Makes a good protective screen as it is very thorny.
