Bonica was voted the World’s Favorite Rose in 1997 by the World Federation of Rose Societies, and an All America Winner in 1987. Every garden should have this delightful rose. It bears sprays of clear pink flowers at different levels on a neat, spreading plant of modest size, covered in abundant rich green foliage that is attractive even before flowering starts. Once it does start, there is hardly any time when the plant is out of bloom until the winter frosts. The flowers are full of small petals and are cupped in form, and have a light fragrance. Perfect for a low mounded hedge, its health is excellent. The name ‘Bonica 82’ is given to distinguish it from an earlier ‘Bonica’ from the same raiser.
